His nebty name is Djeseti-ankh. | Fact 2 on Sekhemkhet: | History: He ruled as the king of Egypt during the period in ancient Egyptian history known as the Old Kingdom and was a pharaoh of the 3rd dynasty of kings presumably by right of inheritance. He succeeded King Djoser to the throne. | Fact 3 on Sekhemkhet: | Family: The name of his parents are unknown. There are no records that the previous king, Djoser, had a son and his relationship to Sekhemkhet is unknown. It is likely that Sekhemkhet was, however, a close family member. | Fact 4 on Sekhemkhet: | Family: He married Djeseretnebti but there is no specific information about the queen or whether they had any children.
